The Rising Tide Society is a community of entrepreneurs and creative professionals working together on a foundation of community over competition.
We have monthly local meet-ups as well as a Facebook Community for education, idea sharing, and goal building. RTS provides new topics and guides each month for a variety of topics intended to help creatives and entrepreneurs grow.
Our chapter provides learning opportunities, networking, monthly events, and open discussion!
Rising Tide Society meet-ups are gatherings for small business owners who have a desire to share their knowledge, learn from their peers, and grow together. The meetings, coordinated by local industry leaders, are designed to be approachable, authentic, and uplifting. Each month, we’ll be releasing an overarching topic to kickstart the conversation and allowing the gathering to flow from there!
Creative Entrepreneurs and Small Business owners including: Artists, Bloggers, Boutique Owners, Calligraphers, Designers, Event Planners, Florists, Makeup Artists, Photographers, Stylists, Wedding Pros, Writers and more!
We generally meet on the third Tuesday of every month. Through COVID we have been meeting online however we are now transitioning back to in-person meetings. Locations will vary by month as we try to choose a location suited to the expected number of attending members in various locations across Central Alberta.
We believe that getting out from behind your computer and building true relationships with other creative entrepreneurs is an incredible tool for success. By joining a Rising Tide Society meet-up you can expect to learn new business tips directly from your colleagues, grow in confidence, and find a network of compassionate professionals in your local area.
You can expect open discussions about topics relevant to small business owners. (social media, websites, client care, etc.)
You’ll have the opportunity to meet and connect with others in your area who understand the hustle involved in running a small business.
We believe strongly in a welcoming environment for all creative professionals. There is zero tolerance for hate/discrimination, intimidation/bullying, harassment, or plagiarism at our meetings.
On top of our monthly meetings, we have a Facebook group where members can discuss their businesses and ideas, share leads, and work together with other creative professionals and entrepreneurs.
Our Newsletter will keep you informed about both our local meet-up as well as the monthly global webinar.

What began as a conversation with dear friends over wine about the loneliness that entrepreneurship can bring has transformed into an international movement for creative entrepreneurs and small business owners built on a foundation of community over competition. The Rising Tide Society began simply as a dream, and quickly grew to a community of creatives from all backgrounds and industries uniting for one reason. A movement dedicated to the people it serves, Rising Tide Society focuses on building community locally and transforming not only the creative industry, but also the world.
In May of 2015, the Rising Tide Society hosted its first set of TuesdaysTogether gatherings in twelve cities across the nation. Coffee shops and wineries filled with small business owners seeking a new mindset in the creative landscape—one built on relationships. Creatives who typically spent day after day sitting at their desks with only the hum of the computer and their third cup of coffee to keep them company now had the opportunity to engage in community within their own towns. In less and a month, applications from creatives began flooding in. Seeing a need within their communities, everyone from photographers to boutique owners, bakers to artists began transforming the mindset within their cities from one of competition, to community.
One by one we added gatherings in cities from the Northwest to the Deep South, and even internationally. As Rising Tide Society and the concept of “Community Over Competition” was welcomed with open arms, we had the opportunity to merge with HoneyBook to build an intentional creative community worldwide.
In addition to hosting local TuesdaysTogether meet-ups, the Rising Tide Society is dedicated to providing affordable and accessible education for small business owners. With blog content from thought-leaders throughout the creative industry, free educational webinars and multiple online Rising Tide Society Summits, education is a priority within our community.
